  • The Royal Ontario Museum is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Burgess Shale by the paleontologist Charles D. Walcott.

  • The HMS Beagle Project will be celebrating the bicentenary of Charles Darwin's birth by launching a sailing replica of HMS Beagle. An icon of scientific progress, she will circumnavigate the globe in Darwin's wake, crewed by aspiring scientists and researchers.

Cairo University

Cairo University, previously Egyptian University and later University) is an institute of higher education located in Giza, Egypt. The university was founded on December 21, 1908, as the result of an effort to establish a national center for educational thought. Several constituent colleges preceded the establishment of the university including the College of Engineering in 1816, which was shut down by Muhammad Said Pasha in 1854. Cairo University was founded as a European-inspired civil university, in contrast to the religious university of al-Azhar, and became the prime indigenous model for other state universities in the region. Cairo University includes a School of Law and a School of Medicine. The Medical School, also known as Kasr Alaini was one of the first medical schools in Africa and the Middle East. Its first building was donated by Alaini Pasha. Since then it has undergone extensive expansion.

The main objective for the Centro de Investigaciones en Ecosistemas (CIEco) is the study of ecological and social processes involved in ecosystems management, their natural resources and their services. Objectives are: - Generate knowledge, models and theories about ecosystem structure, processess and management, as well as about natural resources and ecosystem services - Develop new technologies that encourage sound resource management - Establish interactions with various social actors and institutions related to natural resource management - Provide education at the undergraduate and graduate levels
 
Colegio de Padua

Colegio de Padua, is an education institution, stablished in March 19th, 1917. We just completed 92 years of existance. Its courses begin with Kindengarten up to Senior High School. Besides the regular courses like, ciences, physics, chemistry, history, geography, phylosofi, portuguese, spanish, english, etc.. Colegio de Padua also offers music, ballet and jiu-jitsu.
