Academy of Science-St. LouisThe Academy of Science-St. Louis is 150+ year old organization dedicated to fostering the understanding and appreciation of science. Initiatives include a world class FELLOWS organization, 24-hour BioBlitz of the region's major urban park; Collaborative Science Seminar Series; Scientists in the Classroom; Junior Academy of Science and the Greater St. Louis Science Fair. Scientists lead teams of other scientists, families and science advocates collecting data. This highly collaborative event connects scientific organizations, informal science outreach and education entities, science advocates and the general public in a truly exciting process of important data collection. One of the largest regional Science Fairs in the Country. A judged exhibition of science inquiry projects from grades K - 12. (A collegiate-level HONORS fair is also held for authentic research projects by students in grades 9-12.) The Fair is more than 60 years old and is funded by the Monsanto Fund and Pfizer-St. Louis.
